The account you create here is your game account — there is no separate launcher login.
Grab the archive above. It contains the full game — there is no separate installer to run and nothing is written to the registry.
Unzip to a folder you own, such as C:\Games\4Ascent. Avoid Program Files and the Desktop: Windows restricts writes there and the patcher needs to update its own files.
Start 4Ascent.exe (or Launcher.exe) from the extracted folder. It checks for patches on first run, so give it a moment before the login window appears. If Windows SmartScreen warns you, choose More info → Run anyway.
Log in with the same username and password you created on this website — the web account is the game account. Then pick a nation, roll a character, and you are in.
We never ask for your password anywhere except the launcher and this website. Staff will not DM you for it, and there is no form on this site that should ever ask for it twice.
Only download the client from this page. Copies handed out on Discord or forums are how account stealers spread.
4Ascent is a Windows title. It runs well under Proton and Wine on Linux and on Apple silicon via CrossOver, but those are community configurations and are not officially supported.
Crash on launch, a patch that will not apply, or a login error code — support can read the server logs.
